Patients must be in good overall health without any pre-existing medical conditions that could affect the healing process. People who smoke or vape will need to quit before the date of their surgery, since these activities can lead to complications.

The Procedure

At the start of the breast lift with fat graft, anesthesia will be administered. General anesthesia is the usual choice; anesthesia options will be discussed during the consultation.

Incisions will be created to allow for removal of excess skin from the breasts. Options include the donut incision, the lollipop incision, and the anchor incision. Patients with a high degree of sagging are typically best suited for the anchor incision.
Excess sagging skin will be removed, and the remaining skin will be tightened to improve perkiness and contours. The areolae will be resized and repositioned as needed to create ideal aesthetic results.
To augment breast volume, a tiny incision will be made in the area containing excess fat. A cannula (a thin tube with a sharp end) will be inserted, and the fat will be removed using medical suction.
Next, the fat will be purified to remove unnecessary materials, including dead or damaged fat cells. This improves the likelihood that the transferred fat will thrive in its new location.
Finally, the fat will be injected into key areas of the breasts. This creates subtle and natural volume.

Pain-control medication and antibiotics will be prescribed to ensure a safe and comfortable healing process. You’ll notice bruising and swelling in the breasts, along with a degree of bruising and swelling in the areas where fat was harvested. These issues are only temporary and will fade.
It will be important to wear a surgical bra and post-surgical elastic garments as directed. These will support the tissues as they heal. Any physically taxing activities should be avoided, including heavy lifting and sports. You’ll also need to stay home from work for a time.
